Facebook vs. Twitter - In Auto, Who Wins?

While tweeting back and forth with Jim Ziegler, Dara Moore and Arnold Tijerina a question came up that deserves further exploring - are dealers moving more toward Facebook or Twitter?

All three of these industry titans agreed that most dealers are moving foward with Facebook while Twitter is lagging a bit behind. It makes sense that Facebook would be the first stop of a new media strategy for dealerships, but I can't help but wonder what type of engaging content the dealerships will post. What can they create that will compete with news of "Bobby and Sue's new baby" and "pictures of my Mexico vacation" from other users?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it or even get some examples of dealerships that are engaging customers through their Facebook page. For Facebook to work for dealers there's got to be more than the latest inventory specials. Anyone have any Facebook super stars to share?
